Achakar

Achakar is a coastal neighborhood on the western outskirts of Tangier, perched along the Atlantic shoreline near the legendary Cap Spartel lighthouse where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic. The area is known for the Caves of Hercules and the pristine beaches that stretch along the coast.

Residentially, Achakar has developed as a destination for luxury villas and weekend homes. Properties tend to be large, occupying elevated plots with panoramic ocean views. Several upscale residential compounds attract wealthy Tangier families and Moroccan expatriates.

The main drawback is distance from central Tangier, approximately 14 kilometers east. Daily commuting requires a car.
