Marshan

Marshan is one of Tangier's most storied neighborhoods, a hilltop quarter perched above the western edge of the medina with sweeping views across the Strait of Gibraltar toward Spain. Historically the diplomatic quarter, Marshan hosted foreign consulates and artistic expatriates during Tangier's international zone era.

The area is anchored by the Marshan Palace, the Italian and Spanish consulates, and the Church of Saint Andrew built in Moorish style. The terraces along the cliff edge offer some of the most dramatic viewpoints in Morocco.

Real estate ranges from grand villas requiring renovation to elegant apartments. Prices are among the highest in Tangier due to the views and historical prestige.
