The centre-ville of Tetouan is anchored by the Ensanche, the Spanish colonial district with Art Deco and Modernist buildings lining wide boulevards. Place Moulay el-Mehdi with its arcaded buildings remains the social gathering point, ringed by cafes.

Apartments in colonial buildings are sought after for high ceilings, large windows, and period details. The proximity to the UNESCO-listed medina adds cultural depth. The centre-ville serves as the main commercial zone with banks, shops, and restaurants.

Grand taxis to Tangier, Chefchaouen, and other northern destinations depart from nearby stations.
